Refund & Returns Policy – Carrick Saddlery
At Carrick Saddlery we want every horse and rider to be happy and confident with their purchase. These guidelines explain how we handle returns and refunds in line with UK consumer law and the Society of Master Saddlers’ recommendations.
Cooling-Off Period (Online & Distance Sales)
You have the right to cancel your purchase within 14 calendar days of receiving the goods.
Goods must be returned unused, in original packaging, and in re-saleable condition.
Return postage is the responsibility of the customer. Refunds will be issued within 14 days of us receiving the item back.
Saddles Purchased with a Fitting
To give peace of mind, Carrick Saddlery offers the following structure:
Within 14 days of purchase
Replace or full refund (in line with “off premises sales” regulations).
Up to 1 month from purchase
Free reassessment.
If not suitable, we can fit an alternative saddle or refund to full value (subject to up to 15% usage charge if heavily used).
3–6 months from purchase
Reassessment and re-fit available (charges and mileage apply).
Refund or exchange offered, less 20–30% depending on condition.
Saddles Purchased Without a Fitting
If you choose to purchase a saddle without a professional fitting, no money-back offer is available as the decision has been made without our fitting service. Your statutory rights remain unaffected.
Second-Hand Saddles
Sold as seen, with condition disclosed at the time of sale.
Returns accepted within 7 days only if a structural fault is identified.
